The Farnborough Winter Half is often the first Major Half Marathon of the year, there is a limit of 3000 runners in the race. The route will start and finish under the Aircraft Hangar Arch in Farnborough Business Park but there has been modifications to the route to remove the out and back section on Laffans Lane and then along Shoe Lane when there is extensive building work. The additional distance is made up in the early sections of the course on the roads of Farnborough Exhibition Centre with the route broadly circling the airport, passing along the inner lane of the A325 before and turning onto Aerospace Boulevard and returning to the Exhibition Centre.
