Lovely run to do
Abi Charnock
Brilliantly organised event
It would be great to have a couple of portaloos on the course as the queues for the loos at the start had such long queues.
Kirsty O’Shaughnessy
Painfully great

A great race with a good route.
The queues for the toilets at the start were definitely the downfall. If we had more portaloos, that would make it a great race. We waited 20mins and only just made the race start.

A flat and interesting course - ideal for beginners
This is my second time running the Farnborough Winter Half, it's well attended by our running club. I would highly recommend this to someone looking at half marathons around this time of year. The course is mostly flat including laps around an air field where you can see planes! The medal is always good quality, as is the kit bags. I find it great value for money, and there is a reason why so many people attended this event year after year.

Everything ran smoothly! Good atmosphere and ALL Marshalls were incredibly friendly and enthusiastic!
Ged Ruffle
Well organised event, with a good mix of runners.
The course is good especially with closed off roads. One point of improvement would be to have more support at the water station at mile 7. There was one person available and getting a cup was a bit of a scramble.

My favourite half of the year.
5th time of doing this so that says something!

Great half marathon event

Felt there wasnt enough toilets.Didnt really enjoy the out and back by the Army Golf Club.Maybe bring back the Queens Avenue bit back because there would be alot more support which would be very welcomeing at 10 miles!! Although the bag, socks and sleeves were excellent the itinerary did state there was going to be food stuff in the bag as well but there wasn't any!! Thankyou to the traffic Marshall's out on the course who done a fantastic job at keeping us safe and to the marshall at mile 12 who had a multi coloured dry robe on.She was so engaging.Very happy with excellent dancing skills!!! She is exactly what is needed so late on into the race.Whatever your name is,I Thankyou. The Choir was brilliant but maybe stay until the end? Great medal but a little surprised it never had anything on it to mark the 10 years.

Great course and Finishers Pack

Friendly flat half marathon
I love this as my local half marathon. It’s pretty flat, all on roads with plenty of Marshalls out on the course.
Support is always amazing and facilities at the start are good.
The addition of a couple of portaloos on the course would be really appreciated by many.
Also please advertise the route more publicly, it’s still really easy to find the old route up Queens Avenue.
Goody bag socks are lovely this year!
See you next year!

Such a fun event and even saw a plane take off in the last 5k!
Parking in Roundabout car park was a problem. Queued for 1 hour to pay for parking (1 machine for about 100 spaces) and was late to the race! Realise this is a council issue but it affected a lot of runners. Could parking be included in the ticket price for next year? Still had a fantastic time though and would defo recommend this race!

Great location for a half and friendly vibe
Could do with more retail stands other then one food and one coffee. Apart from the lovely medal, a bag of crisps and a bottle of water is underwhelming.

Great race, quiet bits but to be expected given the route
Loved today's race, especially the bits in the airport - running past planes taking off and landing was incredible. Great organisation and love the bib clips that came with the numbers in the post!

Very well organised
Fast flat and atmospheric
Might be an idea to reconsider the starting position. There are 2 / 3 very sharp tight corners which with lots of runners bundled together, causes a lot of congestion and if someone were to take a tumble or have a collision it could cause massive issues

Great race, really enjoyed it.
My only gripe is the water… cups are so difficult to drink from on the run. Bottles are much easier to handle and runners drink more, which benefits hydration.

Excellent 209 Events race, as normal. Great, practical, goody bag
I've done this race a few times, and it has always been a great start to the season; the organisation by 209 Events, the course, and one of the best post-run goody bags (this year was a very practical bag, running socks, arm warmers - and a big bag of crisps and water!).
On the practical side, reasonable amount of loos, good parking options nearby, raceHQ/ village/bag drop/ loos all close to each other. Also, no race-cut off time for those who prefer to take it easier!
