confusing instructions about what start time (wave) we'd asked for and slightly confusing parking on arrival, other than that it was great.

Loved it but a few niggles
I went wrong at a critical point because there was no marshal there (a sharp right turn). You took a mile off the event due to wasps but didn't say you were doing this so when I realised I made up the time by running laps at the end - you should have announced this. I never saw the cheese - this should be announced/signposted as aid stations were so busy. You ran out of water at one aid station!!!! Several times the music stopped before I got there - I was not right at the back?!! BUT the marshals were fantastic, the food was sublime, the wine was fab and the chocolate ginger at the end was superb. I LOVED this event but think it could be even better hence my picky feedback. Thanks SO much for a wonderful day.

Absolutely brilliant for runners who don't take themselves too seriously!
This is my second year entering (last year 10k, this year half) and it well and truly lived up to expectations again. It's a fantastically fun day all round with a wonderful atmosphere from start to finish.
My only complaint this year was that the half marathon route was cut short due to a wasps nest on the course but no extension was added elsewhere - leaving myself and other competitive people running around the carpark to make up the extra 1.5 miles after we had collected our medals!

Too hilly for beginners
I’ve completed the half and now the 10k. I think you need to mention that even the 10k is very hilly, even for walkers and you need to be fit to complete. I met a few people on the way that were struggling even while walking. There was meant to be a water stop along the way but when we arrived there was not water. Otherwise the atmosphere is always great.

Brilliant day out
My friends and I dressed up as The Lorax and participated in the 10km run. As noted above the event was well organised, we really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely partake again. I would however include a more evenly spaced wine consumption route. Maybe 3 wines along the way vs 2 as we had estimated 7km between the first and last wines and for a “wine run” this was too long
